Ingredients
- 1 large bag of crispy tortilla chips
- 1 lb (450 g) thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye, sirloin, or shaved beef)
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup warm cheese sauce (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking for about 4–5 minutes until tender and lightly caramelized.
- Stir in the sliced beef along with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for several minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Arrange the tortilla chips in an even layer on a baking sheet or oven-safe serving dish.
- Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture over the chips, making sure to distribute it evenly. Top generously with the provolone and mozzarella cheeses.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheeses are fully melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
- Drizzle with warm cheese sauce if desired, then sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately and enjoy every crispy, cheesy bite.
Helpful Tips
- Add sliced mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
- For a richer and creamier finish, substitute the provolone with white American cheese.
- Pair with ranch dressing, queso dip, or a spicy cheese sauce for dipping.
